I have heard that people recommend to use Bayer for the removing of parasites and others. Can someone explain me how to use this method and the one that I have is Bayer Advanced home pest plus germs killer, is this the one?

I use about 5ml of the bayer and 2cups tank water. I let it soak for a little while then I kind of swirl it around in the solution and get a tooth brush that I use only for cleaning tank stuff. And I scrub the plug with the brush and around the base of the coral and plug. Then I swirl it around again to get the debris off. Then rinse with clean tank water at least 5 times each time use clean tank water. Besure to clean your hands as well before putting coral in tank. Dont want to get that stuff in the tank.

This is the stuff to use. Buy it at Wal-Mart, home depot or lowes.

I'm a Bayer user as well...the best. I use 1 ml per 100 mls of tanks water. I have a little plastic cup marked off for 300 mls where I add 3 mls of Bayer. This will take care of a couple frags....where I let them sit for about 15 minutes before giving them a rinse in another cup of tank water before going in the tank.

Unfortunately Bayer insect killer isn't available in Canada so I use Coral RX pro.

When I use Bayer dip I always cut frag off the old plug and just dip the frag. I have a turkey baster and tongs that I only use in the dip. I then transfer to a container of clean tank water and as they sit in this I mount to new frag plugs and then once I'm done I place them in my frag tank to observe. I recycle the old frag plugs by either soaking them in hydrogen peroxide or bleach for a few days then rinse and let dry. That step with old frag plugs should take care of any eggs from any pest since Bayer doesn't kill the eggs.

I'm always curious what people use to see what they killed! Is there a strainer small enough!!?

You can pour it through a micron screen to see what left over. I bought a microscope to see the buggers!

Bayer is really good. I use 10ml per cup
