Using a product like Coral RX;

Do you dip ALL corals (types)?

Can you dip corals purchased from same location (LFS or online) at same time / in same container?

Any additional thoughts/ advice?

Thank you.

I use the Bayer insecticide.
Kills everything on contact.
Just do not poor it down the drain.

Same container I like to get a small container that has holes in it but it in the bigger container to use it as a strainer.

Dollar store for the dipping containers

Same container! I use a little power head and make sure I remove the old frag plugs.

Another tip: I invariably end up with glue all over my hands no matter how careful I am and have found the bacitracin ins great to break the bond

Side questions. How do you remove frag plugs? Just cutting base or actually removing frag from plug? Does this include LPS like torch or frogspawn? I can see SPS sticks might be easier to remove from plugs, but what about the softies?

For LPS depending on how much base there is to work with I use a bone cutter to cut away the outer surface and I scrub it with an old toothbrush.

I always dip in the same container and also have another bowl of water from the tank to rinse the frags after dipping. Depending on the coral, I will either snip off the plug part with bone cutters or I will remove the frag entire from the plug. Forget that with mushrooms or other softies, which will slime like crazy and you'll never get them attached to anything! If I'm leaving part or all of the plug intact, I also scrub with an old toothbrush right before dipping.
