Coral dying and cannot find out why

Over the course if this afternoon it has gotten progressively worse.

whats wrong with it, why are you so concerned? How long have you had it?
 
He appears to be rotting
 
I have had his for about 3 months.
 
I think I see it whitening in some spots, but overall seems fine. Just make sure it has enough flow, they like flow.

Otherwise your nitrate is low, what is your phosphate level? They love higher nitrates and phosphates.
 
I can't tell what it is. do you have a recent picture of it in good health? Is the leather bothering it? or did the leather possibly shed and leave stuff on the coral in question? Unfortunately, in my experience, if a coral looks dramatically worse over the course of a few hours, there's probably nothing you do to save it.
 
Are we talking about the green sinularia?
