Here it is 30 min. ago. Perhaps this is a way of expelling stuff? It appears to start inflating and then shrink again.

My leather does that all the time. Something bothered it. Could be a fish or one of your cleanup crew. Any changes to the tank? Check your parameters. If all is ok I would just watch. Mine usually comes back out in a few hours

Wait a minute. The first picture came out as green. I refreshed and Now it is pink. Is it a leather???

Correct we need to see some test.
PH
Temp
Alk
Mag
Cal

How long is this tank running?
How often a water change and when did you do your last one?
Do you mix your own water and at what level NSW?

Also is there anything else in the tank that seems affected

So I come in from the shop tonight and it's fully extended again. Nothing else is off. Water test showed a bit of nitrates but that's it. Water change was last week but am doing another tonight as there is a lot of snail detritus and dead and dying algae in the tank. I will keep my eye on things though. Temp is 79, salinity is .125, amonia and nitrites are 0. Nitrates 10. Cal. and alk. Mag. where good last week. PH is 8.2 . I never saw this coral do this before and am assuming it's just what it does . Thanks for the advice etc... as I stated will watch things for changes etc...

Well it continues to come and go. Did a 10 gallon water change last night and I caught it deflated twice so far today. I ran the numbers and sal. 1.025' temperature 79, Ammonia is o, nitrate is between o-5, nitrite o, phos. .45, Ph 8.2, alk 10.2, mag 1440, ca 380. The only thing I changed of late is blue light intensity up from 20 to 25 %. White is 5%. I am not sure what coral it is but its white to my eye. Any ideas? Should I take it out and place in my qt. tank (corals)? Just looked at it and it's shriveled up again. I will change charcoal yet tonight too. Thanks, Jim

This afternoon it is completely shrunken down. Any advice? I will search the forum once I am finished in the shop. Thought about dipping it in Bayer but don't know what that would do.

When a coral turns white it could be a reaction to too much light. Since you said you turned up your light intensity you may have found your culprit :)
