How can I tell if my coral is dead or dying?

the first one had like a green color when I first got it now it’s just dull. The dunkin was fine and I think I moved him cause his left side started looking weird and collapsed and now he hates me and looks like he’s dying. Parameters are all within acceptable range but the tank is about two months old so that might be one of the reason they’re dying. Xenia and others are fine. My Zoas are also not colorful but besides that look healthy.

No clue what's going on here honestly

They do look very upset

Stop touching them they hate this

Do you spot feed

What are actual parameters test today

Ime Age of tank has very little to do with coral health honestly its just harder to keep stable

I had softys a candy cane a gorgonian and a Duncan within the first 30 days most the first day

I still have them all 2 years later started every thank this way

Yeah I’ll def test and get back to you!

They are really close to the surface and the others are alot lower that might be your problem

If everything else is perfect

Are you doing anything to the coral before putting it into your tank(dips drips etc)

This could also be the cause

Moving them and touch them will make them die alot of the time best to place and leave and only touch to move up untill its in its permanent spot then glue

As what happens now alot of the time you won't see till later

Need your tank parameters before you're going to get too much input or help, hard to know otherwise.

Just sticking the frag into the rock is not a great thing the vibrations the pump produces can lead to the frag plug vibrating making the coral mad and not open

Been there done this gluing perfectly is always better even alittle rotation in the tank can cause problems

You have 3 relatively easy coral doing fine and 2 more sensitive type coral that are not. This is your question?

How old is the tank?
What lights? Parameters? Flow? When did you acquire frags? How did you acclimate? Did you dip? Ect.....

Need more info.....
