I am not sure if my post went through earlier. If it did sorry for the repost. I have only been doing saltwater for 6months now. Got a scoly about a week ago and woke up today to find it eating a hermit crab. I am sure this is normal but was wondering if the shell will hurt it. Thanks for any advice. I am including a picture as well.

Yup, your other post went through.
Nice scolly, great color, but as you see, they can easy consume anything meaty.
I would expect he will push out the shell after dinner.
 
If your crab molted, could have just eaten the molt. Lots of corals will do this
