Coral eating alk up

But nothing else I test weekly and alk is the only thing that drops a bit. I have used two different test kits with same result. Is this weird?

I run alk about 9 it drops only about . 6/7 a week cal is 500 and it maybe drops 10 every 2 weeks

A drop of 0.6dHK is only like 5ppm or something. The numbers might be off slightly, but basically our test kits can measure Alk changes much better than Ca. IOW, alk moves faster. This calculator is fun to play with: http://www.ultimatereef.net/info/calculators/alkcalcalc.php
