Several months ago a purchased a single lobo head. After a couple of weeks, I saw it had a mini cerinth in its mouth, took 3 or 4 days to spit the shell out. On the plus side, it now has 2 mouths.
5 days ago, my girlfriend bought me a nice symphylia. It took a day to puff back up, but never saw any feeding tentacles until last night. So I feed it some Rob's Food and it darn near turns itself inside out feeding, fast, like a Duncan. Anyways, now I see a nassarius snail in one of its mouths. I'm assuming the snail went looking for scraps. This is a big, maybe 1 inch snail. The coral has at least 5 mouths, and is maybe 5"x3.5". It is fully inflated and has good color.

Should I let nature work it out? I'm afraid I'd damage the coral trying to remove the snail.

Also, I've sometimes thought that snail was a whelk, so maybe a silver loining here, too.

Let nature run its course. It'll deal with the snail shell just fine. Probably happens in nature all the time.
