I’ve just started direct feeding my Red Sea Reef Energy AB+ instead of broadcast feeding. Is this reaction a positive one meaning they’re eating? Or is it a negative reaction to the cold liquid from the fridge? Should I let it sit out before adding it? Is direct feeding helpful?

I want to make sure that I am helping my coral and not slowly killing them!

I stopped using it. The corals responded, but so did the cyanobacteria and dinoflagellates. Now I have more fish, feed more and run higher nutrients. That seems to be how my mixed reef wants to run. FWIW

I turn off all pumps and kinda spread it out on the top of the water. Let it spread and settle and mingle slowly. But as MrGissoni said lots of things like it so use it sparingly. I’m pretty sure you are not slowly killing your coral with it though. :)
