I have never fed my coral with coral specific foods. I am thinking about getting some Reef Roids, Oyster Feast, or something similar. Is there really a benefit to this? I usually just let my coral catch the smaller pieces from when I feed frozen cubes of Mysis and Marine Cuisine. I have mostly SPS with some acans and zoas. I have had great PE with good growth and color, but will I see it get even better with these foods, or any other additives like amino acids? I don't want to go all out with a change to zeo or anything, but possibly try a small additive if it will help.

My tank for reference:

I can't speak for SPS but I can tell you I started to target feed my Corals with Reef Roids. Ive got a mix of zoas, hammers, elegance coral, and acans and have seen a HUGE result in just a week and a half. I've always just mixed and dumped past coral foods but when I started to Target feed my results were actually noticeable. I'l had a single head of an acan and its developed head 2 and 3 now.

I know a lot of people like BRS Reef chili as well. I'll try that in my frag tank and see if I get the same results.

This is exactly why I am wondering for SPS as well. I do target feed my acans and Duncan and when I do compared to when I don't there is a noticeable difference in growth and overall how healthy it looks. I usually just feed them Mysis though and I know that is too big for SPS to absorb. Everything in my tank is stable and I am seeing growth, but wondering if there is a way I can maximize it beyond what I am doing now. Thanks for your input!
