What is the type of frag glue that they used here? Looks so much cleaner than super glue.

Yeah I know! I have both glue and epoxy and certainly doesn't look like that. I've gotten coral frags that come mounted that way and it's a hard/chalky type material.

I've also used the purple "coralline" looking type putty, but it doesn't look like that either.

I guess I can just reach out to someone like ARC directly...

Please respond here if you get an answer because I have heard this question asked a few times and never seen a reply

It's definitely an epoxy-type of putty. Formed into a ball with the frag pressed into it.

Not sure what 'brand' though. Aquastik comes in gray and coraline pink. Tunze coral gum is pink. But the only white one I know of is JB WaterWeld.

looks like normal white epoxy I buy on amazon for $5 a tube. I also mount a lot of my sps this way as I find the coral tends to encrust faster over this than regular superglue

Thanks! I'll let everyone know if ARC answers with the specific brand they use.

Huh, I had no idea plain ol' two-part epoxy was reef safe. Always cool to learn something new.

Mind posting a link to the brand you use?

More than likely. . . IC-gel. Simply clear and most used by resellers

I agree! Normal hardware store 2 part epoxy smells so bad I thought for certain it was toxic to the reef.... who would have thought....

Its an epoxy branded for marine use. been using it for years. Here are an example of frags that got placed on epoxy and then one that has fully encrusted the epoxy.
