When aquascaping and placing corals in their locations in the tank, is it better to group like corals in the same locations, or is there no difference to fully mix the corals up? I have a few of each acans and gonis and am hoping to add soft corals and some easier sps soon:)

There’s a few reasons why grouping like corals together is advantageous. Their light and flow tolerances will be similar, they are less likely to bother each other, target feeding is easier and imo it lends a nice natural look.

On the downside, pests or disease can spread quickly.
