Coral Growing Sideways???

I not sure what this is, but believe it's a green stylophora.....and it's growing sideways, and not straight up. I don't have a good camera/phone, so I've included the picture under unfiltered light (all blue) and the second using a filter to see that it is green.

So, why is this growing sideways? And this is about 1 1/2 - 2 inches long.

Is it infront of a powerhead? Only way i can see that happening.
 
Light and Flow.

It is very high up in the tank most likely getting too much light. I'll try moving it down.

With flow, here's the odd thing, it's coming from perpendicular to the way it's bending. The nearest powerhead is straight back and to the right. I would think if it was flow, it would be "bending" directly toward the camera angle.
 
Corals grow with flow, so it will grow in the direction with the more dominant current. Doubtful that it's from too much light. Seriatopora will grow straight up vertically in high light. Low light they will grow flatter to optimize the light that's available
