Coral growth and keeping alk/cal stable

I have a 40 gallon mixed reef with no sump. I dose with fusion 2 part, reef plus and trace. I have 12 mushrooms a 4 head torch, hammer, acan colony, gsp gorgonian, large cespitulatia currently ticked off, lots of zoas, pink, green, BOP birds nest, purple digitata and purple stylo, rainbow monti and orange and blue montincap. Probably something else I'm forgetting too. Seems lately growth has shot up and my consumption of alk/cal following suit. I cant keep it stable, dropping from 8.4 down to 7.7 in two days. Ive gone from 5ml dose every other day to almost dosing 5ml daily and mag with top off water to keep alk at 8.4 cal at 440 and mag at 1380

Will the continued growth exponentially continue to require more dosing due to the non linear growth of a branching or plating coral? ie the growth is exponential due to the multiple new branches etc?1

Likely. It sounds like things are going real well and you might want to consider a dosing system to make life easier. You might be dosing 50 ml each day in the not so long future.

Thanks, I have a doser but have yet to set it up due to fear of overdosing and struggling to nail down an amount/schedule. Guess its time to take the leap.
