Coral growth around impediments

[Sticker shock]

Check out the growth on this sps. He built up a skeleton shield from an aiptasia that was in a hole directly below him. Did the same to a lesser degree on the backside where the rock flower lives. These are tougher than we give them credit for.

Any of you have interesting growth where coral just finds a better way?
