Coral growth-blues vs whites(led)

Do some corals grow better under the blues than whites? I was talking to someone and he said his zoas do much better under blues . He only runs his whites at 5%. So what's the deal?

The eternal debate. The answer is technically yes. Some corals use more blue than others. But many corals also use other colors of the light spectrum, especially shallower corals. There's a lot of science you can read through about it, but really, you should focus on finding a light level and coloration that you think makes your particular corals happy and look good.

Ya most corals like different spectrums of light. You just need to find that perfect spectrum for your reef
