Hi,

so I know GSP and pulsing Xenia are meant to be very hardy and growvery quickly but I’ve noticed in my tank there’s hardly any growth?
I got both maybe 6 months ago the GSP has grown maybe by a mm and the pulsing Xenia has grown maybe a few extra branches.
The only growth I see is my hammer head corals which has around 5 heads more in 6 months. And my zoas maybe 1/2 heads in that time.
Is this growth normal or am I being impatient

My gsp grows like no other. My other corals are slow growers. I broadcast feed.
I want this problem, what does broadcast feed mean? And what do you feed when I had fish in the tank I just fed them then every few weeks did some reef roids. Now I do reef roids every 1/2 weeks

Broadcast refers to putting in “foods” into the water column as opposed to target feeding which is direct at the corals.

Feeding depends on the coral, tracs, scollies, Acans, Blasto, palys, nems, some mushrooms, these guys usually show a “feeding” response and can be target fed, however, if you have and shrimps, use caution as they will steal food and may damage corals.

Many others may benefit from the broadcast of small foods suspended in the column.
