I just got some new corals and one of them is a hammer. On arrival it look pretty beaten up and I need to make sure that it is fine. I am a bigginer so I can’t really know how that coral is doing.

here are some photos

it looks fine to me, what makes you think it looks beaten up?
When it came, It is bunched up and had a tentacle falling off. Then After a few days it looks like this. I am not sure if it is going to be ok so I asked the forum.

Corals will retract when disturbed, a lot of the time. One or two loose tentacles floating around from euphyllias is rarely cause for concern, as their tissue is extremely delicate and easily torn from mechanical injury.
