Coral help in 16g biocube

Hello All, can someone tell me what happened and what plan of action I need to do to try and save coral. Everything was fine before I did a 2 gallon water change , but woke up the next day to see this. This is a before and after pic

All parameters are good, only thing I did was a quick water change of 2 gallons and removed a phosphate filter and replace new floss. Lighting is steves led upgrade and tank has frag has been in tank for a couple months.

This may be a bad question, but after you did your water change, did you measure salinity? Also how old is the top picture? Was it taken 2 days, a week before the "after" pic?

Pic was taken a month or so ago, but it looked the same before water change. I always measure salinity when I make a batch of water. I was in a hurry so never checked the temp of water before changing. There is another acro that did the same and all the others above are normal.

When you say all parameters are what are they and what are the readings. also do you know what they were before the water change. Is 2 gallons normal and how often do you change the water?

I think I have it narrowed down to either phosphate sponge or the water change and not checking the temp before I poured into back chamber. All tests done with salifert, would of done a phosphate test but API kits are not very accurate in my opinion.

so I asked my son what he thinks it could @REEFIN RIOS and he says, your gonna wanna find what your phosphates are. if it reads above 1ppm that is a major factor. if it got stressed out cuz of a fish or if you bumped it it could have caused stn ( slow tissue necrosis). but one thing with that you will start to see white skeleton. it may be high po4, could be if your shrimp ( if you have one) could be picking at it at night. also whats the time frame of the 2 pictures shown?
