Coral Help

Hey guys! I am looking to add my first corals into my tank. (32 Gallon Biocube) Just was a little foggy on how to feed them. Was thinking of getting some type of toadstool or leather to start because I have heard they are easy to start with. I feed the fish in there frozen food as well as a small amount of pellet food so wasn't sure if the corals would just eat the parts that the fish didnt get or how that works. Thank u in advance for the help!!

If its softies you would be fine with just light(depending on what your lighting situation is). If need be i wpuld broadcast feed something like reef roids but again that isn’t necessary with just softies. Unless your running ulns

As everyone is stating, leathers need very little to keep. Light and some flow and some nutrients in the water. They don't need spot feeding, as they don't have mouths. Nutrients and light are absorbed through their skin.

As a 32 owner I suggest doing some research on whatever you decide to start with. The easier corals to start with are often the same animals that can easily take over a tank, quickly for tanks our size, and become a nuisance in a very short amount of time.

Good luck and have fun! It's a great tank with a few upgrades but that comes with time and your end goals.

Investing in good lights will go a long way. My first coral was a duncan. I love it! You don't have to feed it, but it will grow faster if you give it a small amount of fish food. BRS Reef Chili is also a good coral food, although I had some nutrient issues with it (probably over fed). I am currently testing out Pohl's Coral Vitalizer from Korallen-Zucht and like it so far.
