Is it possible for them to come back though?Wall hammers are notoriously difficult once they start dying
Usually a wall coral won’t come back once part is dead. Some say an Isidore dip may increase tour chances but still unlikely to heal.
Bummer- sorry about your hammer
Unfortunately, very likely. Will it affect the part that is ok of the coral? Does it mean it will all die.
Just saw I had a typo I meant iodine dip. . The iodine as long as you’re following directions shouldn’t hurt the coral any more, but will help and promote healthy healing and less chance of an infection of some sorts. But this may not help. I’ve heard some people cut them- but at this point in my “reefing career” I don’t have the confidence to try that. Maybe others have tried with success but unfortunately in my experience it’s a goner. Will it affect the part that is ok of the coral? Does it mean it will all die.

Thanks, much appreciated mateYeah, no harm in trying- I would try if it was me too- just be aware or the most likely outcome so you don’t get too disappointed. Good luck my friend- I sincerely hope it recovers for your. Take care and happy reefing
