I’ll admit to not qt’ing my corals first, but I have qt’d fish for about 18 months. I’ve had good luck with LPS Acans and Wellsos until about a month ago.

All 4 are now so withdrawn they may be too far gone to recover, but in the absence of bad water parameters I’m left to think it’s either a fish or a predator getting to them.

I’m wondering if I set up a coral hospital tank with instant cycle bacteria what kind of lighting to get. I’ve got an old set of current LEDs. Will those work?

My parameters are Nitrates 5-10, Phosphate 0.06, salinity 34.5 and Alk 8.9.

Any hints on reviving recessed LPS is also appreciated!

current leds will work with lps. as for reviving recessed LPS, if there is still tissue present, it is possible for them to recover. Just make sure parameters are correct. Even if all you see is the skeleton, keep it in your tank. Some species of LPS can sprout new polyps off a skeleton that appears to be completely dead
