Coral i.d.

I picked up a crown leather the other day and they sold it to me attached to a rock when I got home while acclimating and dipping I noticed the little Tanish colored thing on the side that had the same texture as a leather coral so I left it alone I epoxied the rock into my tank and now it’s just there but I have no idea what it is or what it’s going to grow into it has polyps so it’s definitely some type of coral but I’m just curious what it is bc it’s kind of ugly in my opinion and I don’t really want it unless it is something cool
