I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help with identifing the names of these corals. Pictures were taken with one PC Actinic & one lunar blue LED strip in a Coralife 29G biocube.

#1 ( I don't think I have proper or sufficient lighting for this one)

Nice pickups neighbor!

Thank You! They were a free pick-up and I have managed to keep them alive for two weeks and all are getting bigger and looking better as these pictures were taken when I first got them. The only one that is not thriving is the first one. I'm pretty sure that is due to my Biocube lighting.

Although, I did manage to kill the Euphyllia I paid for and have been battling some nudibranch or parasites on my other zoa cluster so I'm glad these guys are doing well. I gave the affected zoas a nice bath in RO water last night and they seem to be responding and opening more today then they have in the past week. Hopefully there aren't a lot of eggs that will hatch. May have to pick up a six line wrasse.

I highly recommend Revive Coral Cleaner for all zoas. I dip every new zoa frag I add to my tank, no matter what. This will remove any nudis. And, recently, I have also started dipping all new zoas in a fairly concentrated solution of ChemiClean. This will kill any weird fungi or bacterial infections, and has brought several frags back from the brink of near death. I usually dip each new frag in each solution for about 10 minutes, being sure to swirl the water a around and shake the frag a bit to knock loose any super clingy pests.

While it's certainly not necessary, some also swear by dosing their entire tank with iodine, especially when adding freshly cut zoas, as it's supposed to help the healing process. I dose mine occasionally.

Anyways, welcome to the hobby! If you haven't already, you should join Salt-City, the local reefers forum.

Thanks for the info.

I just did a light Chemiclean treatment on my tank last week to get rid of some cyano and I had read that it can help zoas that aren't opening.

I am on Salt City but I made the mistake of loging on the first time with Facebook. Now I can't create a user name because my email is associated with my FB account so I post under my real name.
