Hi all, my coral got switched at the store without telling me and I am trying to figure out if I should go back and demand money and corals or not. Is my anemone a bubble tip and what is the other coral that came on this? Thanks so much

Hard to tell with it closed up but does resemble one...

The other coral looks like a leather coral.

Yeah i am hoping they had the decency to at least switch it to a bubble tip even if it’s way smaller. Where should I place the leather?

Pic of your tank so I can try and see the best place.

What lights do you have and do you know par?

Leaned up on either one of the larger rock formations on the left or right side will work. I'd put the leather standing up and let the nem move.

It looks like a bubble tip. What coral did you want originally?
Bubble tip. There was an argument over the price with what they told me vs what they were charging me and in the end they gave me this one which i didn’t look into the bag until i got home 40 minutes away . So if this isn’t a bubble tip i’ll start to complain which i’ll let them know anywyas they gave me the wrong coral as the one i picked out was much bigger. But it isn’t as big as a problem if this one is a bubble tip.

Lots of great advice on here. I think at least a mention to the LFS about the mix up would be in order. I mean, you’re suppose to get what you paid for, right?

Yeah most definitely calling them tomorrow. I have the owners direct number so going to that. I think and hope that it was just a mixup.

Great spot
Btw anemone is kinda going into the rock. When the lights turn on it’ll turn around right? But it doesn’t look like a bubble tip right? The ones there had really fat ends. Unless they “deflate” after lights out?

Bubble tips shrink drastically when stressed, I have one that spans around 10" when open but when it's ticked it shrinks to the size of a golf ball. On one hand, if it's different nem you should complain. But if it's not, then you risk potentionally ruining a relationship with an LFS

Let it move to where it wants, yes it will turn.

They will deflate and bubble up depending on nutri, par nts and flow.

Thats exactly why I dont want to make too big of a deal but it def is a different nem. It was on a different rock. It was on a plate type one and this is a branch.

This is one of the hardest parts of this hobby.

Letting the coral do their thing.

Nems will move until they find a happy spot where they like the flow and light

The leather can grow to the light but can not move Iike the nem can.

If he ends up on the glass at the top your tank you know you need more par for him.

Love the spacing. Adds emphasis. But yes ive learned from past nems :) I have covered all the coral on the bottom lol but I am PRAYING that it doesnt jump off and kill my favia i will litterally cry

The site is actually doing that when I try and quote someone hahaha
