Two patches of this popped up on this live rock a couple of months ago. During a downtime with the tank where I lost a number of corals ~6 months back, I lost a much larger coral that looked vaguely like this within ~2" of each of these patches so I'm not sure if that's it coming back. I believe it was a Galaxea (small neon green polyps, stony base). These are very small green polyps (see next to GSP for comparison) but it does look like it's putting down a stony base. Does this look like that? Would it show up like this ~2-3 months after the frag I had died? If this is the same coral, the polyps are quite a bit smaller right now but maybe they will grow out.
