Coral id help

I got a coral I cant identify when i took over a fellow reefers aquarium. Would appreciate some help with an id

They tend to die off in most home tanks because they have to be housed in cooler tanks.
IMO not ideal for the hobby but when they come back they do better
I didn’t know that! I’ve only ever kept one and it did good for 8-9 months and then slowly declined, that’s probably why.

Aussie basically forces people to take them with shipments so most have zero idea. Even with regards to stores thus they cannot warn you that it may be a problem
 
The guy I got it from didn’t seem to know what it was either and referred to it as a “sad acan”. If its a bit of a special care one it chances are probably not great. Especially in my QT tank that runs 27C to reduce the fallow time for ich QT. But one can hope it will survive
