Thought it might be a Sypodium too but mine doesn’t have the bristles along the tentacles. After more searching leaning toward Goniopora or Galaxea. More the Galaxea since they have shorter stalks and bubble tip tentacles.Possibly sympodium
Definably Galaxea. Short corallite structure polyps coming out of, not long body tubes like Goni's. Thanks for the ID help and the aggressive warning. Cant wait to see this grow out.Yes, definitely a Galaxea. Just squirt some water towards to get the polyps to retract and you’ll have your definite answer. Galaxea is an LPS with a tooth like corallite akin to torches but mini sized.
Do exercise caution with this coral as it has the tendency to send out long sweeper tentacles. Overall very aggressive coral but very rewarding if you place it right in your reeftank.
As long as the aggression is managed, its truly a rewarding coral. Here’s my Galaxea collection. Always on the hunt for new color variants. Excuse the really light green one, its a newbie and was recently fragged from the mother colony hence it isnt at its best yet. The darker green ones were grown from a single polyp about 1 and half years ago. The mother colony was almost dead due to my mistake years ago but somehow when i thought all was lost a single polyp perservered.Definably Galaxea. Short corallite structure polyps coming out of, not long body tubes like Goni's. Thanks for the ID help and the aggressive warning. Cant wait to see this grow out.
