Coral ID Please: A. Millepora or A. Sarmentosa?

Hey everyone,
So I just bought this online and I will see it in person later next week. What type of acropora would you call this? It was listed as a Red Milli but the polyps don't look like a millepora and the structure doesn't seem to look like a millepora. It looks more like a sarmentosa do you agree?

Id agree its not a millepora. I see similarity to a sarmentosa as well but im not familiar with them in that color. not that that means much

Not a mille - for sure. I have never seen a red saramentosa... the corallites and polyps look saramentosa-ish. That is a nice piece if it still looks like that in a year - it is a very good sign that the egg crate looks white in the photos.

I bought it from Cherry Corals for $50 today ... I have no doubts that it is the true color. I saw it and immediately knew that it was a fantastic deal. I never saw a piece like this and it did not look like a milli at all. I am local to Cherry Corals so I get to pick it up in person and I am really curious where it came from and what it is I will hopefully be able to ask if it was fresh off a wild colony or just a weird looking milli. I do have a Rainbow's Army Sarmentosa coming later as well from Battlecorals so it will be nice to compare as they grow out.

Unless is changes growth forms as it grows, it is not A. Millepora.

It is cool and I am really intrigued. I would pay $50 for a red saramentosa in a heartbeat. Nicely done.

Looks more like a Hyacinthus IMO. Sometimes Millepora will look different if that piece hasn't seen new growth in a while.
