Coral ID please. Golden Rod ?

Hey folks just picked this up from lfs who had no positive id on it. Just judging by growth pattern I’m guessing it’s an Anacropora but wondering if anyone could be more specific or correct me.
pics are not good, sorry, but colour is a very bright yellow, almost highlighter yellow.
any guesses? Cheers

Looks like one I bought as a Green Goblin Anacropora which is very yellow as well.

Yes, that's the kind of yellow im seeing. I googled green goblin and while the growth pattern is similar every pic I saw the coral was ..well...green

Anacropora for sure though.

That picture is from when I bought it, it is so yellow it is almost hard to get a good picture of. Here is a current attempt at a picture. It has been a good grower so far and I really enjoy the color of it.

Hmmmm, it looks quite similar to that second pic you posted. I'll try and get a better shot of it tomorrow

Does it have pink polyps? They should be very obvious. The pic you posted looks like Green Goblin to me.

Nope, they are definitely more purple than pink. So why is a green goblin yellow?! LOL

Its 99% likely it's green goblin, sorry to say but it is definitely not goldenrod. Found a pic of another with the polyps showing very similar color https://www.reefgardener.com/products/1587?variant=14035340550
From the pic though it may just be slightly undercolored from too much light (so it appears yellowish) , i dont have goldenrod but i do have rrc tropicana and it doesnt looks as orange, more of a lighter color brown when it has too much par

For your goldenrod Anacropora, did you achieve that coloration in high light or medium light? Heard that lighting determines how light or dark the color is. Thanks!

The color looks about the same in both high and low light. I have had it under 500 par and under 300 par And the yellow looks the same. The big difference is that on your lower power the pink polyps will come out more. Under higher power polyp extension seems to be lower.

Interesting— @SawCJack00 is right. I too have one Green Goblin and one GoldenRod (on rack) as frags. However, my Green Goblin has a brighter yellow under actinics! Or it’s entirely possible that I’ve mixed them up due to placement. My “Green Goblin” is recovering though (lost 50% of it) since I placed it in front of a pump, massive tissue loss!

I have a golden rod and I noticed that when I cranked the lights up a little more, I got much less polyp extension too.

I think the photo with the full frag is the goldenrod. The polyps look to be a different color than the skeleton.

That makes sense. Good to know. When we talk about lower light for golden rod are we talking like still 200+ or even 150
