I have had this a few months, one of the better looking frags I have so it must be tough! Lol I have it on the bottom of the tank and it's mounted on a 1 inch frag.
Pretty much looks the same day or night and almost always looks happy. Just not exactly what it is. Any help with the ID would be appreciated!

Now that you say that, it looks a bit like branching Gsp. Not really sure though. Do GSP retract at night?
 
There is branching gsp and most you see grow in a mat. Polyps can also retract
 
It does look like a pavona, but I looked them up online and it seems like they have extending polyps on the the ends and mine does not... Just straight. Hmmmm
 
This interesting... I was reading in live aquaria about pavona corals, and it states they have a fluorescent glow to them under the polyps and I can notice this in the first picture when I look at it.
