That’s what my thoughts were but I couldn’t find any that look similar to it. I’m leaning towards acan thoIt's an LPS. Acan or blasto would be my best guess.
If I had any acans or blastos in my tank it would be an easy comparison, but "someone" developed a taste for these corals, so sadly none are present in my reef. That’s what my thoughts were but I couldn’t find any that look similar to it. I’m leaning towards acan tho
Juv emperor angelfish ?similar to the lps all disappearing from my system .If I had any acans or blastos in my tank it would be an easy comparison, but "someone" developed a taste for these corals, so sadly none are present in my reef.
It's actually the midnight (noir) angelfish. I literally watched him gobble up $250 worth of acans after a purchase. Bad fish! (if he wasn't one of my first/favorite fish, he'd be BBQ).Juv emperor angelfish ?similar to the lps all disappearing from my system .
Mine never touched sps , zoas , palys , gsp or Xenia .It's actually the midnight (noir) angelfish. I literally watched him gobble up $250 worth of acans after a purchase. Bad fish! (if he wasn't one of my first/favorite fish, he'd be BBQ).
The emperor angel (now transitioning into an adolescent) is definitely sniping some of the pest zoas and palys (and it seems to only be zoas and palys).
That's why I've held off on brains, cat's eyes and doughnuts (in addition to acans and blastos). All my flowerpots (alveopora, goniopora and bernardpora) and symphyllia have been ignored as well.Mine never touched sps , zoas , palys , gsp or Xenia .
Made a snack out of a 4” across donut coral , lobo and acan were next .
This is why I won’t add angelfish to my system lol. I’ve had bad experiences with peppermint shrimp going after lps. Ate on my blastos and made them shriveled up but I thought it could’ve been my water but when I woke up to all my lps gone the next morning I concluded it was the shrimp. Especially when I caught him red handed munching on the blastos. Duncans we’re the only lps survivor by the time I could get it outIt's actually the midnight (noir) angelfish. Thanks. This does look really similar. I am really excited about the color pattern that developed. There’s alot more orange in it than what the pic shows. There’s like 5 orange stripes through each head that’s barely visible through the phone.Looks like an Acan to me too, rather unique pattern though. It does look like this to me https://aquasd.com/collections/acan-frags/products/electric-rim-acan
The ones on AquaSd look to have orange stripes on the face, look at the bottom one of the four in the picture. I think your photo the heads are much more open since there are only two. I have an Acan Lord (micromussa lordhowensis) that is a frag with only two heads and it is much more open than the ones with four or more heads that start squishing together as it grows.Thanks. Also likely. I think it is going to come down to is it a micromussa lordhowensis or micromussa amakusensis.Looks like a "green tiger micromussa"
