This is my gorgonian. They're really pretty when they're happy. I feed mine a mix of hikari coral gumbo, reef roids, and a bit of frozen brine shrimp.

Also, you might want to think about trimming the dead portion off and reattach the living pieces to the rock.

That one looks like it is photosynthetic to me.

I just got this and don't really no allot about it. Which part is the dead part? Is it the brownish part that's dead?

Yes, the lighter part with the closed polyps on it is alive. The skinny darker part is the skeleton where the live part has died off. It won't hurt to leave it but it might look better if you cut off the live part and remount it.
