Coral ID - too late to save?

Hey! So I picked up this frag without getting an ID. Can someone ID please? I’m also looking for placement insight or any other helpful info.

It looked like this when I got it, but now im wondering if the polyps are actually retracted and maybe it’s not doing so hot?

Some of these encrusters are very similar. I think it may be porites.
