Can anyone ID this green coral? Came as a hitchhiker years ago with live rock and has turned into one of my favorites. It's lived in 3 of my tanks so far and has proven to be pretty bulletproof. Would love to get some variations of it if they're sold.

My guess would be

CLUBBED FINGER CORAL (PORITES PORITES)

Here’s a guide to Florida coral that might help:

Where was this live rock farmed/collected? If it is from the Indo-Pacific, my best guess would be Galaxea, although I'm not sure.

It's not P. porites, as the polyps don't look right. P. porites has polyps on elongated stalks when open, similar to Goniopora, but smaller. P. porites is also branching, while this coral looks to be encrusting.

It came from KP Aquatics I believe. Either there or Gulf Live Rock. I've gotten rock from both over the years.

Okay, then it's not a Galaxea. Judging by the plocoid polyps, could it be an Orbicella with a lot of tentacle extension?

Looking at the google pics it does resemble that. The tentacles are extended all day, if that helps
