The LFS says it’s a hairy or frilly mushroom. I asked if they could take a picture of the mother colony for me. Super confident it’s a mushroom, just haven’t seen any pictures that’s similarwild guess i would say rhodactis mushroom if you are confident in that it is a mushroom.
It looks similar now but the bigger ones it came from looked nothing like that.Odd, fox coral was my initial guess:

They almost looked like bounce mushrooms to be honest. Like the tan parts on the bigger ones were more inflated.wild guess i would say rhodactis mushroom if you are confident in that it is a mushroom.
This would have an exoskeleton correct? My coral has a foot attached to a piece of coral the same way a mushroom would.Odd, fox coral was my initial guess:
