Was given this coral as a gift, possibly a pavona but not seeing any reference pics look similar. Any ideas?

Its pretty cool looking. It seemed happy and had its polyps extended. It was in the upper 1/3 of my tank. Im running t5s and radions to brought it down 5 inches or so above the sand bed to not torch it

Green Cup Coral, Turbinaria peltata
Aussie Green Pagoda Cup Coral, Turbinaria peltata is a peaceful reef habitat. The Pagoda coral makes an excellent candidate for the novice to advanced reef aquarist.

OP's coral has smaller corallites with less duncan-like polyps. It's pobably something like mesenterina
