Please help me ID this coral, and perhaps find a frag.

@DGee, help this guy out.

@OP: DGee is the one who photographed the coral you're requesting. I'm not sure of the name, but his build thread noted that he likes to buy wild acros and watch them develop so there is the possibility it wont have a designer/brand attached to it.

Best of luck. :)

Don't care about the name if I can just score a piece. The color combo is spectacular! And thanks for the assist.

My Acropora taxonomy knowledge isn't as good as others (can't remember everything) but it looks like A. tenuis or at least the tips look close. The polyps are extended really far makes it hard to see structure.

So many different tenuis variants out there, it's becoming a rather popular-and pricey-coral.

I picked up that piece from a local guy, it was called Rubberduck's Gipsy Pickle... Same species as pink lemonade just with a little bit different base color and the lavender polyps.

I'm pretty sure he lost his colony a while back. I can frag you a piece if you want.

What type of lighting are you running, and eat is required to keep it that sexy....and YES I'd love a piece. Let's coordinate for when I return from Arizona for thanksgiving. Also do you have a link to your build thread?

Where is the line DGee? Your colonies/tank is absolutely stunning. :D

Line? I know nothing of what you speak of lol... Wait till I get a fish room again and the tank doubles in size. Also I should have some hot additions when I get back from Fiji.

The tank has always been T5 with a little led supplement, I just recently added two Kessil 350w's to the fixture. No rush on the frag just let me know, I've got plenty of it.
