Can anyone identify this coral?...

I think its some kind of euphyllia coral (most likely torch or frogspawn).

Almost resembles a green polyp leather coral as well. Is a better picture possible

I think it might turn out to be Pocillopora, but another image would be of great assist.

Thanks for the replies... I'll see if I can get a clearer shot... (sounds like a great excuse to buy a scope/cam!)...

It's a very small patch... probably than 1/2" long... started off encrusting and we just noticed it's beginning to branch..

I believe you're right... it looks most like Pocillopora... the polyps are difficult to see, though...

Pocillopora has the ability to reproduce by polyp bailout, basically the sps drops polyps and they can spread through out a tank.
