looks like a brain of some kind, maybe lobophyllia? low-med light, low flow. place on sand and upright with flesh pointed toward top of the tank.

Thanks everyone does it have any special feeding requirments it has a massive skeleton on the back does it have to face upward? brought it on a impulse as liked the fluorescent pink colour rather than researching it 1st

It is recommended to feed them. I have never had them, but all corals seem to benifit to regular feeding. and yes it should face upwords

Feed something like mysis 2 times a week if needed (2 pieces of per head). When you put food on its mouth in low flow, it should stay and you will see tentacles that emerge, and its skin would cover its mouth.

closer pictures perhaps? I would burry that part in the sand for stability

Edit. of that dark black part? You can cut it, but I would still leave a decent anchor point

I've never seen a Lobo/Trachy/etc. with a "stalk" like that..... must have been very 'creatively' fragged from a large colony!
