Hey saw this and thought it was some type of soft coral but I’d like to see if anyone can actually ID it, TIA!

Thank you!!Looks like some type of gorgonian- probably a photosynthetic kind![]()
No problem! I believe it may be grube's gorgonian, but I'm not certain. Either way you have a good starting point if you want a more specific ID- It's a really nice piece!Thank you!!
I do! They're such cool fish- let me know if you ever need any advice/tips. I've driven myself crazy researching these guys, emailing aquariums etc about the care of these guys- best of luck! I'll be following your tank!Found it in Petco for $20 and I got it! first ever live purchase from a Petco so we'll see how it goes haha luckily the tank was very clean! Btw, its going in my Wartskin Frogfish tank, I see you might have one base off your profile picture!

My frogfish is pretty active sometimes- I don't think hunting behavior has much to do with feeding schedule, but I could be wrong. Keep a solid schedule of feeding and feed once every 5-7 days until it looks pregnant- you'll know when it's fullThank you! I need to update the thread! This is my first time with a predator let alone frogfish! my biggest thing is trying to get a feeding routine down, I fed him 3 shrimp yesterday and he's back hunting today so idk if he's still hungry or just looking around!
