This was sold to me as a hydnophora but I've been looking at other threads and believe it might actually be a merulina. All other corals have been doing fine but about a week after putting this in my tank it began to stn. I superglued the base and so far the stn seems to have ceased. There is no pe like I've seen in other peoples hydnophora

Looks kind of like pectinia to me but it's hard to tell. A pic in white light may be helpful. It also looks like its dying at the bottom, but it might just be the pic.

I'll try to get another photo in a bit. The bottom had stn hence all the white. The color though is just how the piece is. There are areas of dark that don't flouresce and that is one of the areas.
