Wanted to see what this is? It was something my LFS gave me when i bought my tank now it’s growing up the rock. After doing more research not a big fan of the colors for my tank.

Look like some strain of xenia if im not mistaken. Maybe someone with more knowledge could confirm. Whatever it is though, I recommend removing it from the tank if you don't want it before its too late.

It looks more like some kind of brown star polyp to me than Xenia. It’s def not any kind of pulsing Xenia that I’m aware of. If it’s a star polyp it’s gonna grow fast

Scary stuff. My green stars grow like they’re planning to take over the tank.

They grow fast and can be quite the pain. I would cut your losses and donate back to LFS because if you dont like them now you will be cursing them a year from now.
