Got this cool coral yesterday and forgot what the LFS called it so I tried searching for a little bit but couldn't find anything. What is this little guy called?

They are Green Star Polyps and will glow under blues :)
Some people hate them, I personally love GSP however it seems to hate my tanks currently (It used to love my 4’ tank but it no longer will grow and just seems to slowly decline).

I believe he said a green star polyps now that you said that, said that will eventually encrust the whole rock once they grow bigger, which is wy i picked it up.

Yes, definitely beware. While it is a very pretty coral, GSP (Green Star Polyps) will take over any rock they are placed on and do so quickly. They engage in chemical warfare with surrounding corals, killing their neighbors in order to compete for rock space. This coral is best placed on an "island" rock, completely isolated from the rest of the aquascape. In addition, once this coral does begin to encrust a rock, it will become nearly impossible to remove.

It caught my eye instantly under the LFS display, I love it so far! Pretty surprised how quickly it opened up too, lets hope it thrives under my tank :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:
