After looking at bare rock for 3 months (new tank since 10/19), I figured it was time to get started and purchased a 'multi' pack of soft coral and aussie lord frags to brighten things up, problem is, I have no idea what the soft corals are since they didn't come with any information. Can someone help identify them and also tell me what I'm doing wrong as they don't seem to be 'growing'. I'm still very new at this saltwater thing since this is my first lot of coral. I thought I had done my research on care/placement/lighting etc. but nothing is working. I've had them since January. The Aussie lords (there are 3 of them) seem dead but this is how they've always looked since I got them. I've even tried spot feeding with reefroids.
I've also noticed what I think is a tad bit of green hair algae, is this contributing to their demise and how do I treat that? (I have cheato in my sump) I read Hydrogen Peroxide is good but is it safe for my fish, anemone etc?
There are also pink spots appearing on my rock, is that the good coralline algae or something else?
I hope the pictures are clear enough for you to see.
Sorry for so many questions and Thank you in advance for any info/advice.
