Hey all! I want to thank you in advance for all of your help with coral identification. It really helps me to know my tank.
I was wondering if someone could tell me what the following coral might be. I seem to be having difficulty finding something that looks similar - it was just added last Monday!

Thank you again.

Oh. That is quite disappointing. Thank you though all the same. I'll have to talk with the distributor.

Could also be a Trachyphyllia. Also, it is hard to tell if the color is odd or if the skeleton under the flesh is actually showing through. If the white is actually skeleton and the tissue already receded, then that coral is unfortunately as good as dead. If its however tan/white coloration and the tissue is there, then its alive but very very stressed. Normally, the coral is more fluffy and almost jelly like consistency (in appearance) and you do not see the skeletal structure underneath.

How long has your tank been up? What are the parameters when you test water?
