I picked these up today for $25 each and believe they are a type of favia. Am I right about the type and what are the requirements for these? Got a free starfish on one of them and 2 stomatell snails on the other.

First one is a Christmas Tree Favia. Low/med flow & lighting. Put out sweepers at night to feed, keep them away from other not like corals.
Favias are a favorite of mine...here's my 5+ year old Christmas Tree Favia.

Thanks for the response... These will be my first favia that I try to keep. I'm not even sure the one in the 2nd set of pictures is a favia, it looks different than the top texture wise. Is the Christmas tree type a slow grower? I've read up on a few and it says some favia has a fast growth rate while others you'll be lucky to get a inch per year.

1. Looks like a War Coral to me, Favites pentagona.
2. May be Merulina ampliata.

Here are some better close up pictures

1. Perhaps Leptoseris, google it and take a look.
