Is the bottom of the coral flat or is it shaped kind of like a cone?

Do not blast it with light.

low flow, moderate light. Leave on sand bed without anything near it for best results. However, on a rock is fine too as long as it cannot be knocked over. Also, if that is a hammer near it, careful. Those guys have long stinging tentacles and can damage the soft tissue. Feed weekly with whatever. Any leathers nearby will sting it and these guys are very sensitive to tears in tissue. Never handle it without making sure it closes up first.

I believe the OP is pointing out that there is a Heliofungia right next to the new coral.

OK got it. I went back and looked and thought no, just a rock. Then I saw the plate at the edge of photo
