Coral identification??

That's not a very good picture, but it kinda looks like a goniopora
Seems like the rest of your standard care of corals if the polyps are small enough it would be possible for algae to diminish the frag?
 
They can be finicky. Mine seems to be happy some days and totally ticked off other days. We get them in the store often and only half live to be bought.
My local store isn't the best with corals I've noticed I stopped getting them
From there and just take a hour drive from me
 
I'm not much of an expert in this area, but I have seen where the flesh recedes and algae grows... the frag can be lost pretty quickly without intervention. Not much help from me one what that intervention would be though.
