what is the best and easiest way to go about learning of the different coral species? cause man it seems like it will be never ending and the names are very difficult to remember never mind being able to prounonce. maybe a good website or something. heck its probably right in front of my nose i just cant see it. any suggestions will help.

If you are looking for zoanthid/paly's, try www.zoaid.com

I do know that R2R is working diligently to get a complete list with scientific names. They have been collecting photo's.

Corals of the World is the bible for reefing. The best $150 I have ever spent.
If you ever learn all the names/types, let me know how you did it ;)

thankyou all for your replies! i will look into the "corals of the world" bible. it sounds like a great reference i can fall back on. you guys dont mess around on the return either greatly appreciated.

+1 on Corals of the World. We also refer to them as The Bible around here.

Learn them all? Only if your Rainman. :nerd:

Julian Sprung and Eric Borneman also have good books. They are definately smaller than COTW but they also have some, like softies, that Veron doesn't.
